After dealing with some delayed flights, missed connections, and (temporarily) wandering luggage, we arrived safely tonight at Atlantic Bridge headquarters in Kruiningen, in the Netherlands.
Heather was a great tour guide on the bus. After we arrived, we had a nice meal (macaroni dish + a salad), followed by a Dutch dessert called a fla (sp.?). John Oostdyk then gave us rundown on the upcoming schedule, after which the kids were given some free time to explore the town (together!).
It's a very pretty town.

Saturday morning
Well, it's Saturday morning, and we were all awakened by the sound of the bells ringing at the church next door, at 8:00am. (That's 2 in the morning, back home!) We had a breakfast of cereal, fruit, toast & jam, coffee/tea/juice, and these things from a nearby Dutch bakery that were a lot like sticky buns.
Some people from the Bridge Builders group in Tholen are coming to meet with us this morning.

Hello from back home
Jeff,
Thanks for updating this blog. It's fun to hear what you guys are up to. I hope everyone gets their suitcases. I'm sure I speak for all of us when I say 'Who's got misplaced?' It sounds like you are all eating well. The adventure really begins when you move in with your host families! Andy, keep writing in your journal!
