After unsuccessfully walking through a koala preserve looking to see one in the wild, we drove the scenic coast road, through the beautiful villages and towns of Kilcunda, Wonthaggi, Cape Paterson, Inverloch and Venus Bay to Yanakie, just outside the entrance to Wilsons Promontory National Park, where we will be staying in a cosy cabin for a week.
