Our visit to the only tidal electric power plant in North America was fascinating. The Bay of Fundy, between Nova Scotia and New Brunswick, has the largest tides in the world.
A scenic drive to the eastern side of the island brought us to the UNESCO-listed township of Lunenburg with its brightly-painted Victorian-style houses and fishing heritage.
We made it to the end of our drive around Margaret Bay just in time to enjoy the sunset at Peggy's Cove, one of the most beautiful we've shared, against the backdrop of the quaint lighthouse and white rocks.
