Springtime?
Snow drifts ten feet,
Temp twenty-two,
Snow piled in middle of street,
Plows work to remove,
Wind blows,
Snow eight feet high on shoulder,
White as far as eye sees,
White for miles,
Tis beautiful,
Descend lower,
White disappears
Can summer be far behind?

We left West Yellowstone about 11 AM and arrived Ashton about noon.  Had lunch, picked up some groceries for the next three days and then drove out to Henry's Fork Ranch.

What a wonderful relaxing location.  The cabin is about 100 yards from the famous Henry's Fork of the Snake River.  We will have 2 miles of river, upstream from here, to fish the next 2 days.  The owner says that no one has had to go more than a mile to catch as many fish as they wanted. Should be fun. The cabin is a rebuild of a log cabin that has been on the property for over 100 years.  All of the original logs were saved and reassembled.  The owners have done a wonderful job and we are really going to enjoy ourselves here.

It is a working ranch with cattle, horses and sheep all around us.  Also many sandhill cranes, a sign of spring, are in the field outside our window.

Absolutely gorgous! It almost makes me want to learn to fish! That cabin looks wonderful. I'd love to sit on the pourch; listen to a good book; watch the wildlife go by; and smell Charlie's ribs cooking in the oven. Hummm, do 100
year old cabins have ovens?! We're glad you're havung such a wonderful time.
