Reflection
The previous four days,
Wonderful company,
Invigorating weather,
Beautiful scenery,
Great fishing,
Excellent catching,
Great time of year,
Few people,
A place to return,
An all around great time!

We spent the night in Ennis and awoke to an inch of new snow.  After breakfast we stopped at Shedhorn Sporting Goods that has to have the largest selection of guns this side of Afghanistan.  We also stopped at the Ennis Public Library to see if they would like to receive a set of Will James books.  It turns out that they do so we will be sending them a set when we return home in May.  The small towns in Montana have some beautiful libraries.  This one in Ennis was built entirely with donated funds.  Just across the street from the library were some beautiful western sculptures.

We drove the 70 miles to West Yellowstone to be greeted by a couple of bison and 12 inches of new snow.  Yes, it is April 26.

We hung around West Yellowstone until about 6 PM and then went out to Yellowstone Park. We were told that this is a good time of year to view wildlife, including Grizzly bears, in the Park. We saw many bison and a couple of elk cows but no Grizzly bear.

We also went to see Old Faithful Geyser.  We had to wait about one hour to see her erupt, and it was was worth the wait, even if it was only about 30 degrees out.

We returned to West Yellowstone about 9 PM after a wonderful time spent in the Park

Great photos of Yellowstone, we have never been there in winter weather, but would enjoy seeing the wildlife that time of year also... I have fished the Henry's Fork before, so am interested in how you do this time of year...Would love to see that Bamboo rod...Good luck..

Getting a bit of a late start looking at your blog. Love the photos! Yellowstone looks amazing in the winter. We might have to go next year.

Oh forgot to ask. Did you go to the Bear Bakery in West Yellowstone?
