My sisters were asleep the previous night when I heard an announcement by the captain of the ship. There was a medical emergency on the ship. A passenger had cardiac arrested, he was resuscitated, and the ship was returning to Cozumel to take him to the hospital. There would not be enough time to go to Guatemala. We would remain at sea. I am disappointed as are many other people. However, I just think if this was one of my sisters, I would want the captain to make that decision for her.

We attended the stretch class and then an abdominal exercise class. Oh, my! It was a rough class. Then, my sisters and I ate breakfast. It was a hard day at sea - eating our meals, walking the Promenade Deck, watching movies, reading, cross stitching, sunning. I even graded students' papers.

The entertainment tonight was a hynotist, Mark Yuzuik. It was so funny. He brought some of the audience on stage and hypnotized them. Dennis (who we met later) did not like being touched even though no one was touching him. He kept moving his chair away from the other people on the stage. The hypnotized people danced, even the recently married man who said he did not dance. They reacted to sad and funny movies even though none were being played. We went back to see the 9:30 show. The later show had many college students participating. One girl danced the Macarena so fast.
