So today - our thoughts were - awesome...God is working...how do we even emotionally sort through all of this....amazing....being God's hands and feet everywhere daily...there is so much need out there...and on and on!

We served again at Mission Arlington again today.  Some of us served up front at the entrance where people come into the mission and tell us their need and their stories.  Some of us served sorting clothes that are never ending and will always be there.  Some of us drove around and picked up furniture and some of us gave out food.  Then we all went back to our apt complex and had a backyard bible club with our new lilttle friends that we so love already....So that is what we did...but oh, did we learn and are still processing...

Here are a few stories:
Up front we got to share the gospel with one friend. He is really seeking and asking questions about what happens when he dies.  He has a small child and he knows that he has responsibilities to bring him up in a positive environment and he doesn't always know how to do that...he has never seen it... and he has made bad choices (haven't we all) and is seeking.  Pray for him as he sorts through this understandidng of a relationship with Christ.

One family came in that had lost all through a house fire.  they had nothing and needed everything.  they were very grateful.

One woman came in who had been a giver to mission arlington all her life but through circumstances had to receive for the very first time.  She cried as she took a bag of food.

We had another new friend dropped off by the police.  He had needs and the police even knew that Mission Arlington was the place to bring him where he could get back on his feet.

The kids at the apt complex were waiting as we got there... and more of them.  They already wanted to know when we were coming back.  They had games ready and asked to sing songs we sang on Tuesday. They listened to the stories and colored one on one and we helped them with their homework.  They were precious and we heard their stories....

So - all of this happens everywhere everyday, but our team knows that this happens in our community.  Our team realizes that we have 11 different apt complexes in crestwood alone that could use after school mentoring, bible clubs, and loving on some kids.  This team undestands tha God has a very special mission ahead of us not in Arlington, TX but in Crestwood and slowly but surely God is putting the pieces together to accomplish the mobilization of His people for the gospel's sake and for His name sake.  We are excited to watch as it unfolds.

Love to all from Arlington!
