What a busy day! We opened up with a special presentation of the Gospel during VBS. The children were very attentive and listened intently, even the adults. Afterwards, we made salvation bracelets with the children and had Sara translate what each color bead represented. Some of the Ayi's even made a bracelet! We had an energetic worship time--these kids love to sing and do movements with the songs. It's always amazing to see how music can be used to cross language barriers.

After lunch we were able to visit another special foster home, Agape House. The children there have Brittle Bones disease. They have art class each week (a favorite!) and paint a variety of creative pieces that are framed and for sale. The money raised from the artwork goes towards the costs of their surgeries. Many of the our team members purchased artwork to take back with us. What a treasure!

Once back from Agape, we had a little bit of time left to visit the children in the houses of SFCV. This was a special, but emotional time, as it was the last time that we will see these sweet little faces on this trip. (We will be venturing into Beijing Saturday and Sunday)

For dinner, we had our VBS celebration cookout. We were told that this was the first time about ten of the children had ever had a "cookout" meal, complete with hotdogs, chips, watermelon, and ice cream :)  Fun was had by all, and the relationships made with these children have left a permanent mark on our hearts.

Thanks for faithfully and creatively sharing the gospel as you loved on those children (and adults)! Enjoy the time to debrief and discover the city. Be careful coming home. See you at the airport! We are praying for you!
