Day 3 at the Pastors Conference began with a special vision clinic for the pastors and their wives, with the teaching beginning a little after 10am with many pastors and wives sporting new spectacles. Donne and Clint continued to teach on discipleship while also drawing out testimony about what great things God is doing in India in response to a look at Psalm 126. The pastors shared amazing testimonies about things that we rarely encounter or fully understand in America, like demon possessions and the real power of prayer. One pastor shared about becoming a believer when he was 16 and immediately being put out by his family who told him he was dead to them. Following Christ not only cost him his mother and father and brother, but also complicated his ability to get married due to social traditions that require family involvement before marriage. Donnie and Clint are excited that as a result of the teaching sessions the Lord guided them to a connection that may draw us closer to the Chotra Bansi.
Mary continued to bless the woman with her teaching and fellowship, and at around 6pm the women joined the men for a message on JOY along with a powerful and joyful worship service. The village team arrived and we performed the passion drama for the pastors and their families and then had another incredible worship service with our Indian brothers and sisters under a full moon that reflected the daylight shining on Kentucky.
The joy of our Indian brothers and sisters in following Christ -no turning back -is humbling.
