Today was a pretty special day.  Not only was is Jeanne and Bob's birthday, but we also had our first day of teaching, and a visit to a remote village.

The teaching was done in two sections; one for men (pastors) and one for women (mostly pastors wives).  Harvey Pennington, Randy Hutnutt and Donnie Patrick did the teaching on the men's side, while Mary Baronas handled the teaching on the ladies side.  Leadership is the focus for the men, and the women are studying the Old Testament book of Esther.  God moved today, but I will leave that for another of the team members to elaborate on.

After lunch, we drove about an hour to a remote village to attend a worship service.  The village has a small church with a few hundred followers, in a mostly Buddhist area.  Things were going pretty well until the bad gas in the generator through us into total darkness (no electricity at the village), but it was still a pretty amazing evening.

Similar schedule for tomorrow.  Back soon with more.

Mary - Of course, Esther!!! How perfect! Can't wait to hear what the Lord has shown you and spoken into your heart. Miss you a TON and you are always in my thoughts...had a sacred cow burger with cheddar cheese today in your honor!

Hi Team; we are loving this blog and keeping up with you this way. It was so great to see several of you earlier today on the trial run with Skype! I hope it works out just as well to do this on Sunday during the church service. Also, the CHSC homeschool co-op prayed for you today, and prayed for India and the people you are serving. We are continuing to "pray without ceasing" each and every day. We can't wait to hear how the Lord moved today. Blessings to you all!
