Theres so much to tell but will keep it pretty short so the stories can flow when i finally arrive home....
Met up with 5 English girlies (see pics) and had 3 weeks of proper girlie time including 2 of them where we were a group of 7. After 29 hours of travelling with 3 flights, and arriving at Iguassu airport, i was whisked straight off to the Brazillian side of the Iguassu Falls - absolutely stunning. spent a few days in a gorgeous hostel on the Argentinian side and then took a 22 hour bus journey travelling 1st class, to Rio, and then on to Buzios (a mini version of st Tropez)
It was then on to Rio - real party land. It has been totally crazy here and ive met so many amazing people. Kept myself busy changing hostels 3 times - 1 was a party one where i met the guys who are now keeping me safe (Canadians Chris, Mike and Mark, English Matt, and now there are an additional 2 Americans - Mike and Cane)... some experience for me with all these men, thats for sure!
Most of us took off to Ilha Grande for 2 days of beautiful tropical paradise, and then came back to a really chilled hostel where im now staying another week with the guys. its like a home and is just perfect for relaxing. However, there are still plenty of action packed party nights ahead including stumbling in with everyone at 5.30 this morning where we danced all night in a great Cococobana club.
Ilha Grande was awesome. Pics tell all ... a 3 hour trek through tropical rainforest to find some waterfalls ended with some serious testing of our fitness levels, and a hurry to make it back before dark when we took the non sign posted paths which led us into the middle of no where....no swimming for us but the views were worth it alone
Having been in Rio twice now, ive had a few great trips ...the Maracana Stadium (biggest footie stadium in the world for those of you who dont know), A Favella (shanty town) which is a real eye opening experience seeing drug dealers walk around with machine guns and graffiti and sewage littering the streets. Dont worry, it was all perfectly safe and our tour guide knows almost everyone there. The kids were fantastic and everyone is so happy there despite the poverty. went into the nursery and played with the kids and babies too, plus got taken up to the top of the Favella on motorbikes - loved every minute of it! Ive also hand glided over Ipanema and seen the spectacular views of Rio at sunset from Sugar Loaf Mountain (reached by cable car), and Christ Redemer.
Still plenty to do but scheduling around the footie and have a few travelling companians to head north at some point next week. Weather has been up and down the last few days but its great to hit the beach here, especially at weekends - you have to fight for a space and the footie and volley ball nets are endless....those and the beautiful bods everywhere too!!
So, Caz is seriously enjoying the Brazilian experience so far and was even taught to Samba last night!!!
Ive attached plenty of pics but there are loads more to come. I have access to the internet here easily too so will try and keep on top of more emails.
Hope youre all well
COME ON ENGLAND!!!!
