I must take this opportunity to brag about the 24 red roses I got sent for Valentine's Day, as it has to be said they were the most beautiful flowers in the history of all things floral. Mitch had sent them to me in Sydney last week, knowing we were off on a road trip and there was no way in hell I was leaving them behind! So about 750km and almost a week later, they had seen better days and it was actually on Valentine's Day I had to say goodbye to them and move on...I am still grieving.

We reached Melbourne mid morning and found a hostel to stay in, as we wanted to be central and the only caravan sites around Melbourne are way out of town. Having rememebered how blissful we were in St kilda back in September, we returned to this lovely suburb and spent 2 days sampling the cakes and lying on the beach - oh such a tough life. We met up with a few friends who were now in sunny Melbs, fitted in a dash of retail therepy and a totally lush BBQ in the park and our flying visit was over. It was great to see Melbourne in the summer, it was a lot more lively this time and the added bonus of it being warm enough to swim in the sea was plenty to remind us what a great place
Melbs really is.
