I am glad I saved the best weekend of the year for the end. It would have been annoying to waste it early on. I zipped out to Phoenix after work on Friday to surprise a college buddy for his 40th birthday.
After the big reveal Saturday morning at breakfast with his family we went out and had a boys day. We went for a hike up Squaw Peak (not its name anymore but I can't remember the new name), went go-cart racing where another buddy joined us from out of town and then a couple beers for what he thought was the end of the day. Instead of a nice dinner, he was lured back to his parents home for the big surprise party. I can say that Andy was definitely wowed out by the time. I had a great time reconnecting.
