Where I stayed
Today was round 1 of the Family Mini-golf Cup. the first 18 were played at Mt. Atlanticus on the Minotaur course. A fun course that was in the sun and humidity. And I think the sun had an effect on the defending champion, Erin. The scores were well played for the first couple holes but by hole 7 the heat was beginning to get to Erin. By hole 9 I was in the zone. I hit my first hole in one. Kasey was playing also but no real threat to us. On the back 9 I was in good form til the 16th hole. A couple more hole in ones and I was cruising. On the 16th I started to become too cocky and took a 5. But it was a quick turn around for my 4th hole in one on the 17th hole. But then becoming over-confident I 4-putted the 18th. How embarassing. It was a 10 foot par 2 that I hit poorly. In the end I had a successful round with 4 hole in ones. Erin had two and Kasey even got a hole in one. But the final scores.... Kasey was a 46, Erin a 45 and Steve a 42. Oh Yeah! I won the first round. Very cool. I think I may have to gloat for the rest of the day because I know that it may be short lived.
The sun was hot today. The humidit was higher and there were fewer clouds overall today. But we found a better chair farther away from the annoying speakers and kiddie pool. Plus with the shure headphones in my ears, I was able to relax. Unfortunately, I chose to finish my book instead of napping. Hopefully I will sleep some more tonight and or tomorrow. Those Olympics are too addicting.
