Leaving Beunos Aires was never going to be uneventful - if the previous eight days were anything to go by.  Unable to resist another big night the result was a last minute dash to meet Rossy, speeding cabdrivers to airports and lastly the realization five minutes from the terminal that my passport was still laying on my bed.  Before you say anything Hocks, I know I havent changed.  Another "moy rapido" taxi in and out of the city and a delayed plane which may well have saved the day...  I think any longer in BA may have killed me!!!

Onto Porto Alegre, meeting my old friend Gunther aka "G".  What can I say about this bloke, he hasnt changed, still the perfect host wanting to show people the best of his city and culture.  G you are a champion mate.  The Pireira family so welcoming and friendly, thankyou soooo much guys.

Porto Alegre, home of the World Club Champion winning International FC, has been the site of a few attempted big nights that have been hurt by "Steak Brain".  Gunther, you can not expect us to not fall asleep after you feed us half a cow stuffed in a burger!   It has been brilliant to catch up with an old mate and my Brazilian family again and I look forward to seeing you again soon in Brazil and then Oz...

Hey it is worth noting an alarm failure on the morning of departure gave the G man his chance to show off those Aryton Senna driving skills he has talked up for several years - all I can say mate is that was impressive, very scary but impressive - I will be sending my underwear bill.
