What a cracker of a week in Beijing, Probably one of the most insane weeks of my life! I think I have had 4 hours sleep or less everynight and I finished it off last night going straight from the club to the airport!
Where to start. The sites to see in Beijing are amazing. Tianamen square in all its communist glory was a sight to see, hundreds of kids flying kites in the square at sunset was cool and the que of Chinese lining up for a photo with me in the square was just bloody funny. The Forbidden city was awesome but in sheer beauty, the Summer Palace was something else. I spent six hours wondering around the Summer Palace and still didnt manage to see it all!
Yesterday I did a tour out to the Great Wall. All those steps made me think about how hard the second day of the Inca trail is going to be - Rossy / Sammy / Ali / Em you guys better be getting yourself ready it is going to hurt us! Funny tour group, I was the only English speaker amoungst all the Chinese. Made for a funny lunch when the Chinese guys decided to get smashed and I couldnt let them do it alone could I?
The nights have been random as well. With semester just finished for my new found American friends, there was a good bye drinks each night. From Roasted Peiking duck in top draw resturants to late night cocktails in the Russian Quarter being stalked by hookers - all fantastic nights. Last night was a fittingly random end to one of the most random weeks ever. What was supposed to be a quiet dinner with Jo, a Swiss Medical student studying Chinese for her summer break here, and early night - ended up as dinner, drinks and clubs until the sun was nearly up.
Final result I was packing my bags at 5am to the disgiust of my 7 room mates and rushing to the airport! If anyone goes to Beijing then hit a club called 'Fusion', it is the shit! Seriously, it is the club of your dreams, Ryan / Rossy you guys would die for this place - its not that big yet the dance floor is surrounded by more than 50 lasers, each as big as the one at the old Heaven. All the walls have these funky retro neon lights changing colour. The place was mad, the music was wicked, a clubbers dream!
Tokyo today - should be crazy! Every night I keep saying, quiet night tonight and it just doesnt end up that way!

Rabbits
Is there any way that a rabbit could get passed the wall?

Several ferrets and a couple of gerbles were noticed scaling the wall, much to the excitement of the waiting Mongols
