Well Phi Phi is possibly the most beautiful place I have ever seen. The weather report of heavy monsonal rain everyday for the next five days nearly turned me away but I am so glad to make my way over, and in the end beautiful sunshine for all but one of the days!

Anyone who has not travelled Thailand would not understand the "lady boy" thing. The first night at a Lady Boy Caberet show was disturbing to say the least. Jon, who kicked on from Samui, and I were half smashed and I believe he pointed atleast one of them out as hot.

Next night was an epic at "Hippies Bar", a chilled out place as you would expect that gets real loud later in the night. I believe I "fell asleep" on one of the hotel lawns with a full bucket of joy in one hand. Must have been there a long while cos all the ice in the bucket had melted when I was woken by a police officer and told to go to bed.

The third night on Phi Phi was truely one of the best travelling nights I have ever had. Randomly we thought Hippies Bar had arranged a camping adventure to Bamboo Island, a 200m x 100m deserted island 45 minutes by boat from the main island. It was an amazing night with 20 backpackers and 10 of the bar staff laying around campfires and candles, singing and drinking. Whenever u had enough u just strolled a little way up this most amazing beach and picked a patch of sand - there were millions of stars followed by an amazing sunrise
