Arrived at Joberg' airport shitting myself, completely paranoid that I was going to get mugged or rapped. Honestly, the stories I heard were terrible. Looking back I think I was the most dodgyist person in the airport. Gripping onto my bag like I had a life time supply of cocaine stashed away and staring at everyone like they were gonna take it from me. It really isn't as bad as everyone makes out. But, nevertheless I didn't stay long.

The drive from Joberg' to Nelspruit was lovely. You go from these grey buildings and shacks hidden away by barbed wire and people walking on the motorway-very weird( just couldn't see this happening back home, the Brits strolling down the M3 with their Asda shopping bags). Then it just transforms to massives and massives of green mountains and waterfalls, the most beautiful landscape ever. The views are spectacular, I took a few moments to appreciate my surroundings, then...... I slept- a lot. (sorry Mercia&Himlar)

Stayed at Hilmars house, who has monkey's in his back garden! monkey's, can you believe it? always dreamed of having a monkey as a kid and their they were playing in the garden with a beautiful river and loads of mountains.
Mercia & Hilmar had to work during the day so I just took the opportunity to kick back and relax. It was nice to have a break from the hostel lifestyle.

Krugar National Park was a amazing! really enjoyed myself there. Bit scary though being so close to all those wild animals, they could easily eat or crush you if they wanted. The only thing that's stopping them from having you for dinner is an electric fence, but just how safe is it? I mean the electric fence didn't work too well in Jurassic Park.
I saw loads of animals but no lions or wild cats. (still managed to get some amazing photo's of them. I was so desperate to have them on my camera that I had to resort to taking pictures of postcards, they look quite realistic though)

Oh yeah, just to clarify a few things for all those that do not know, cos' there's quite a few out there. People in South Afica have house's, huge one's with toilets. They use fairy liquid. Only a few ride round on elephants but most have cars. Their diet consist of more than just rice. My friends don't have pot bellies.
Unfortunately, you do get 'townships' (people living in shacks)provided by the government, which ain't too pretty. You have to see it for yourself, it's quite sad.
So next time your complaining to the council about your boiler packing up, or slagging off Tony Bair, I suggest you 'build a bridge and get over it'. Just be grateful that your not in a shack with five kids to feed cos' that's shit!

I left the beautiful Nelspruit and flew to the delightful Cape Town to get a bit of sun for my last couple of weeks, can't be coming back home white now, can I?
