28th Nov cont.

Once at Alana's we were greeted with open arms and soon settled in to our room. Around 5pm we all headed to the supermarket to get a few bits and when we returned made roast chicken for dinner,  then made smores on the open fire for dessert. We then spent the evening chatting and watching an old episode of The Saint before heading off to bed around 11.30pm.

29th Nov.

Got up around 9am and had breakfast in the lounge whilst enjoying the morning sun coming through the windows. We decided to have a lazy day catching up on a bit of reading and some laundry as well as a bit of research for our last 2 weeks until we fly home for a break. After lunch we helped out a little in the yard by raking up some leaves for the donkeys to eat and then reverted back to rest for the afternoon. Whilst searching on-line, we discovered that SLO had a drive in movie theatre, so Alana cooked us a salmon with polenta meal and at 6.30pm we drove down to the movies. We arrived at the drive in around 7pm in plenty of time for the movies and settled in to watch the new Muppet movie and Happy feet Two. It was a great experience as we've never been to one before and drove back around 11pm. We then sat up chatting with Alana until 1am and then headed off to bed.

30th Nov.

After another late night chatting, we were up around 9am. We had breakfast and then began packing our stuff back into Brian ready to head north along the coast towards San Francisco. Around 1pm, after booking our train to LA and our hotel there for our last nights in the US before flying home, we said good bye to Alana and headed off. After restocking the fridge and refuelling, we headed north.
