You may be wondering why we decided to make a 120+ miles extra trip to this place. Cat had discovered by chance, that this city was the one that had purchased London Bridge back in 1968 and rebuilt it here, in 1971. The reason why we decided to make the pilgrimage to see London Bridge, was because neither of us had had the chance to see it before it was sold. After eating breakfast on London Bridge Beach, we walked the bridge and took a few photos. It was a little strange walking on this rather iconic english bridge for the first time, in America! It looked a little out of place, amongst the modern lake side apartments, etc. but it still had a beauty about it. We left shortly after and headed north to Hoover Dam via a rather less used part of Route 66, making one more stop at Oatman to collect a final stamp in the Route 66 Passport.
