15th Nov.

So, sundae finished, we headed off to the monument and made it just before they closed at 5pm, picked up a map and then drove around the campsite looking for a good spot. As we were the only ones there, we had all 31 sites to choose from. Site chosen, we parked up and cooked dinner. Then watched the film Gulliver's Travels with Jack Black and tucked ourselves into bed ready for another cold night.

16th Nov.

Woke up in the early hours freezing, popped on our fleeces and tried to get back to sleep. However it was so cold we ended up getting up at 7am, moving the van down to the Visitor Centre and parking there, in the sun, to have breakfast and walk down to the view point of the Betatakin ruins. Around 8.30am we left the park and headed off, after a long discussion last night, to the South Rim of the Grand Canyon.
