We stopped for lunch in Martin and then changed our route slightly when we spotted The Trace, a scenic byway, on The Land between the Lakes. In the middle of this parkway was Golden Pond. Obviously, we had to stop and look. However, when the park was created all residents were told to leave and so now Golden Pond doesn't exist. Along the parkway, the Fall colours were out and it was beautiful. In the middle of the parkway we crossed into Kentucky and just before leaving we drove round the Kentucky Lake Scenic Loop taking in the lovely views.
