We decided to hop off the I-24 on to the quieter, slower road, the US41. On the way, we made a slight detour into Alabama. It was meant to be a loop, crossing the Tennessee River by ferry, but unfortunately, the ferries were closed so we ended up coming back out the way we went in. We did see something strange though. We saw a women on her mobile sitting on the right hand side of a car, but there was no one that we could see in the drivers seat and the car was moving! Slightly bewildering! We made it to Nashville with no further incidents around 2pm, after discovering we had now changed from Eastern time to Central time, gaining 1 hour. We headed straight to the Grand Ole Opry to buy tickets for tonights show and then we had lunch. We checked out Camping World to make sure we would be alright staying there and discovered that it was surrounded by campsites. We checked with the manager and he said it was fine. Strange, how one Camping World surrounded by campsites says yes, but another not near any campsites doesn't offer overnight parking. Relieved we had somewhere for the night, we found Cooters - Dukes of Hazards Museum and just had to pop in. We haven't seen TV for a while and they were playing an episode, so we sat there with mouths open lapping it up. We then headed into Nashville downtown to have a look around and then returned to the Opry House, via a McDonalds to catch up on emails, etc. to have dinner and then enjoy the show. After a great night out at the Opry, we headed out of the car park and off to our campsite for the night at Camping World. We soon settled in, read for a bit with a cup of tea and milk and then got off to bed.
