12th Oct. cont.
Today mainly consisted of hopping on and off the I-75 and US41, stopping for lunch in a rest area and having the front tyres & spare swapped around on their wheels so that the worn patch was now on the inside. This cost us half the price of replacing one tyre and should hopefully give us a few more miles. We then continued on to Camping World, Byron as Cat had found out while searching online that they have overnight RV parking. Great! We arrived in Byron around 6.30pm, found Camping World and checked it out. Unfortunately, it was closed so we couldn't ask permission to stay but there were no signs up saying we couldn't. We decided to have dinner there and then head over to McDonalds to double check their website to make sure overnight parking was ok. While researching online and enjoying our usual hot fudge sundae, an older gentleman walked over and dropped a piece of paper on the table and said something like 'in case you need it'. On closer inspection, it turned out to be a $100 note and when we looked at him with a quizzical look on our faces, he just said 'pay it forward'. Now for those that have never seen the movie, it's a simple concept whereby a good turn is repaid by doing a good turn to others. Both of us decided that we'd put it away for a rainy day and if we didn't need it, pass it on, but first Cat wants to check it's genuine! We then, still slightly in awe, headed back to Camping World for our usual dose of Being Human and then to bed - hopefully, without being disturbed.
