At this time of year, the trees are just beginning to change their colour, so we're seeing little bits of orange and red poking out from amongst the green. However, as we headed out of Maine and into New Hampshire, the change became more obvious. We drove through White Mountain National Forest and almost everywhere you looked you could see the colours of Fall. OK we're not at it's peak yet, but it really does give you an idea of what it would like when it all changes colour. Along the way, we stopped for photos and a walk up to Ripley Falls and just outside the National Forest, we stopped for dinner. While we were washing up a Police car pulls up behind and asks us 'what we're doing here'. We explained that we'd just stopped for dinner and were just finishing off and moving off and after checking Dean's ID, he said OK and left. We then finished, moved off and headed towards the nearest, yep, Walmart for the night. Just for a change, tonight we had a wash in the van instead of a shower, as we'd had our hair washed earlier. Then later, with our cups of tea and milk, we ate Twinkies, (not as nice as smores, but ok) and watched an episode of Hustle, (no more Desperate Housewives for a while, as we had finished the series) and then went off to bed.
