14th Sept cont.

We arrived into Lunenburg around 4.30pm and drove up to the Visitor Centre/campsite and paid $2 each for a shower. After a nice hot shower, we drove to the other side of town to the laundrette to get some washing done, but as we had two loads it was too expensive so we decided to leave it for another day. We then had a wander round the place looking at the beautiful wooden buildings and then made dinner on the harbour edge. Whilst dinner was cooking, we got chatting to a couple that we had met earlier in the day, at Peggy's Cove, that seemed to be following us. They were a farmer and his wife from Port Hope, Ontario on holiday for a fortnight. We had a bit of a chat and then had our dinner just as the sun was starting to set. After dinner we had a wander along the harbour front and then headed out on the highway to Truro to camp at Walmart for the night. We drove through mist/fog and arrived at Walmart around 9.30pm, just in time to make smores, a cup of tea and watch, as usual, an episode of Desperate Housewives, before hitting the sack.
