6th Sept cont.

Along the way we decided to stop at a cafe for afternoon tea/hot chocolate and carrot cake. Whilst walking round to the loo, a lady at the fuel pump asked me to help fill her car as she didn't know how and her husband was disabled. So I happily filled her car to which she offered me a coffee in thanks. I declined the coffee and said that it was my pleasure to help. With that, (after I'd used the facilities), we got back on the road and headed to Riverview across the river from Moncton to get some more info from the Visitor Centre. They were sadly closed but the ladies had only just shut and were only too happy to get us some info on the city. One useful bit of info was the tide times as there is a thing called the Fundy Tidal Bore. Twice a day the tides from the Bay of Fundy send a tidal wave up the river. Luckily for us, it was due by in half an hour, so we waited and watched in awe as this wave of water came running up the river.
