25th Aug cont.

By 10am we'd had breakfast and got on our way heading to Ottawa. After driving down the highway for an hour or so we got off onto some slower roads and drove through some lovely little places, including Kingston, stopping for lunch in Bath. We decided to take the scenic route to Ottawa and headed along Highway 15 towards hopefully, some campsites. We tried a couple along the way, but discovered that they were too expensive. We thought we would try one more before changing our route and heading to another set of campsites. This one turned out to be a seasonal campsite, where people bring their trailers and leave them here for the whole season and they don't normally take overnighters. However, they made an exception for us and as it was reasonably priced for the area and the son said we could use his wifi, we plugged in and settled in for the evening. As the shower, was a little way away, we decided to shower early, then eat and then relax. So after Dean had finished sewing the mosquito net for the back door, we headed to the shower. We then settled in for the night and a good job to. We found out that we had a few hundred uninvited guests. We think they were similar to trout flies, which swarmed all over the van trying to get to the light. They covered our ceiling and after a couple of hours of swatting we finallly managed to get them under control. Good job we had our own toilet, as neither of us fancied going outside with those little blighters around. Exhausted, we watched a Desperate Housewives episode and then got off to bed.

26th Aug.

Got up around 8am, had breakfast, checked emails, etc and headed off about 10am.
