Back on the road we headed off along the Lake Erie scenic route and on the way we stopped at a public beach to have a paddle in it. We then carried on for an hour or so and had lunch by a picnic spot further along the lake. After lunch we drove through Cleveland taking photos without stopping and continued on to Mentor to look at the home of J A Garfield who was president for just 200 days before being assassinated. We had a good tour of the house as the ranger made it very interesting and it was really nice to see that most of the furniture was the original family's.
