The next sheduled stop was Buffalo and when we parked, I had another look at the filter and it was now full. We went in the Visitor Centre to find out where the soda fountain was to get a milkshake. After a nice strawberry milkshake we drove round the corner to Washington Park where there is a free swimming pool for a nice afternoon dip. We were also able to use the facilities there to have a shower so that we could then free park tonight. Around 6pm the pool closed and we had dinner in the van. The car park we were in was a nice quiet spot that we might have a go at staying in over night as there dosn't seem to be any signs that say we can't. After dinner we had a wander into the main street to see what a busy Saturday night in Buffalo was like. We then wandered back to the van to see if we could settle in for the night. Around 10pm there was a drunk hanging around so we decided to move across the street to the ball park car park where there were other cars around and a bit nearer to town.
31st July.
Got up around 8am, and after breakfast we discovered that the auxhillary battery was flat, so we moved back across to the park where there was a plug-in to charge it up a bit. Around 10am we headed out of town and got on the way to Devils Tower passing through Gillette to fuel up.
