Where I stayed
Jamestown Campground
22nd July cont.
We reached Jamestown around 3.30pm and had a look at the biggest Buffalo in the world standing at 26 feet tall, 46 feet long and weighing in at 60 ton, in a themed western town. Also making a lovely appearance was a rare white buffalo happily chewing away in the meadow. Whilst we were there we saw a coyote limping through the long grass near the view point. We then had a look round the village and then headed off to find a campsite for the night. Not far out of town we stopped at a Good Sam (Amercian equal to the AA or RAC but for RV's) campsite where as members we got a 10 percent discount. We were shown to our camping spot (which is a bit close to the highway but there are others nearer) by the lady in charge driving a golf buggy. So we settled in, caught up with a few things on the internet and made some dinner.
23rd July.
Got woken at 2am with a huge thunderstorm raging overhead, so watched for a bit and then pulled the covers over tightly and tried to get some sleep. We got up around 8am, looked out the window to find a moat around us, it wasn't quite that bad but we had to climb onto the picnic table to get out of the van to use the loo. Once we'd had some breakfast, we caught up on a few things online and Skype'd Cat's mum and dad.
