Where I stayed
Truckstop off Highway 1
16th July cont.
As our planned overnight stop was still an hour or so away, we got back on the road and arrived at our free campsite (which is actually a truck stop next to the highway) near Piapot. There was another couple there with their truck and caravan and after exchanging pleasantries we got on and made dinner. After dinner and pancakes for dessert, we finished putting our new BBQ together to use tomorrow night and then settled in for the night.
17th July.
Up early at 7.30am, had breakfast and got on the road heading east towards Saskatchewan's capitol Regina. A few hours down the road we reached Moose Jaw where we stopped in town and did the Chicago Gangster Tunnel Tour. Our tour started at 12.30pm and we were taken on a story of the 1920's prohibition of alcohol, told by 2 enthusiastic actors. After that bit of fun, we headed out of town and drove on to Regina arriving around 4pm.
