Where I stayed
Sugar Loaf Ball Park car park
2nd July cont.
Williams Lake was the first stop where we collected our last sticker in our BC Visitor Centre Passport and our water bottle. From there we drove round the corner to the nature reserve and have lunch watching the Pelicans bob up and down on the windy lake. After lunch we carried on up Highway 97 to Quesnel where we found a nice spot to camp in the Sugar Loaf Ball Park car park. There was a nice walk from there down the fast flowing Fraser river and across the bridge into town. We then headed back up to our camp spot to cook dinner. After dinner we drove up the hill to the Pinnacles Provincal Park to see the Hoodoos (geological forms) and the amazing view. We then drove back to our camp site and settled in for the night watching an episode of Desperate Housewives and then playing cards until bedtime.
3rd July.
Woke up at an early 7.30am just in case there was a ball game on today, had breakfast and then headed off to the visitor centre. It was a bit on the wet side so we checked our email and then drove up the highway to the turn off to Barkerville.
