28th May.

Got up late due to not going to bed until 1.30am and just made it in time before they changed from breakfast to lunch. At 10.45 we went to the Celebrity Theater to watch Milos's talk on wildlife of Alaska all about the animals we might see on the trip and some of the ones that we probably won't. Today we would be cruising all day with a stop at the Hubbard Glacier, so we went up to the viewing deck to look out for wildlife and watch our entrance to the glacier. On the way in we spotted a couple of Humpback whales and Harbor Seals sitting on iceburgs as well as many birds. When we got nice and close to the glacier, we went down to the helipad right on the bow of the ship for a closer look at quite an impressive looking glacier. Next to the glacier is Russells Fjord which is flowing nicely since the ice that was blocking it has now broken off. After an hour or so there we turned around and set off out of the channel on our way to Juneau that we get to in the morning. As we were still feeling tired, we had a snooze in our cabin for an hour until 5.30pm and at 6 we went to the cinema to watch a film called Eat Pray Love with Julia Roberts. After the movie we went for dinner, which was very quiet as most people were at the more formal restaurants and as we don't have any formal gear we wouldn't have been allowed in. After dinner we watched an episode of Hustle which ended in time to go to the Celebrity Theater for tonights show and toast from the captain. The show was Simply Ballroom which was fairly good (but not as good as the ones we had on our last cruise for our honeymoon) and then we got off to bed.
