The plane took off to Panama on time and the flight was over almost as soon as it started, but the crew had it all down to a tee and managed to give us a ham and cheese pastry and a drink before the plane landed. We had a 3 hour wait at Panama airport and sat at the departure gate catching up on some sleep. We also tried to exchange our COP for US$ but discovered that Panama International Airport (a hub airport for anywhere and everywhere) did not have a bureau de change anywhere! Amazing! I guess we'll have to try LAX. There wasn't any announcement made (that we understood anyway) but for some reason we were all being searched and had our bags checked at the boarding gate as we headed towards the plane. It took a bit longer than usual and we've not experienced this before but we were soon taking off a little after the scheduled time and were soon tucking into some lunch. It wasn't the most up to date plane we've ever been on and there wasn't any choice of movie, just what was put on on the shared screen.
