Got up late and sorted our washing from the trek, then we went down to the bus station to book our bus ticket to Lima for tomorrow. When our laundry came back the jumpers were still wet so we convinced Judy (hostel staff) to lend us her heater so that we could dry them enough to pack. We spent an hour or two chatting with Baddy and Lesley ( a Canadian couple we met) then had some soup, watched some TV and off to bed.

Had a nice nice lie-in this morning, had breakfast and then packed ready for finally leaving Cuzco. As we had all day to wait for the bus and Cat wasn't feeling too well we spent most of the day with Baddy and Lesley. Baddy is originally from Iran and suffers form colitis and wasn't too good himself so was pleased of the company. At 5pm we said our goodbyes to Baddy and Lesley and the staff at the hostel and caught a taxi to the Terminal Tourista (bus station) to catch our 22hr 1600kms (1000miles) bus to Lima. Amongst all the chaos at the bus station we checked on our bags, paid the departure tax (they charge that for everything) and boarded the bus. The bus is a double decker coach and we're on the top deck at the front in what they call a semi cama (basically they recline more than usual with a leg rest), downstairs are the fully cama that are more like a bed but at twice the price we'll risk it! (famous last words) At just after 6pm we pulled out of the bus station and weirdly the bus attendant took photos of all the passengers, then we said goodbye to Cuzco with a bowl of rice, potato and a slice of chicken and a cup of Inca Cola for dinner, then try to get some sleep with Spanish dubbed films blaring out the speakers above my head! Thank god for Duck tape!

Cuzco, it will be nice when it's finished!
