Got woken up early (6.30) by the local election broadcasts being blasted out of loud speakers, they do elections in a big way here as everyone has to vote or be fined! Had breakfast in the local Panaderia then caught the bus to Urubamba. We found a room at Hostal Mauru's, this time a matrimonial bed (double we call them) for 50 sols a night with cable TV and a Bath! Then caught another bus to Ollantaytambo where we had lunch and then visited the ruins there. We then caught a bus back and chatted to a couple who were heading back to the UK in a few days. Got back and had afternoon tea and had can you believe it Bread Pudding! Dinner was supposed to be Pizza but after waiting for 15mins we were told that there was no more pizza so we had a hamburger that turn out to be chicken (everything is chicken here). After dinner we headed back to our room for a nice soak in the bath and to watch some cable TV.
During the night I (Dean) spent most of the time in the bathroom (no not in the bath) either being sick or sitting on the loo with the other problem! The only thing that we had different was Tea and the Bread Pudding so we blamed the latter as so far Tea hasn't had that effect! Yet!
The next day was spent in the room feeling rather worse for wear with a couple of attempts to get some fresh air and something to eat not going too well. Cable TV can be useful but gets a bit boring when you can't find anything that's not dubbed in Spanish. After getting a bread roll and some Pineapple juice down me, we did manage to get a pizza for dinner, (typical, the first time we get Pizza and I don't want to eat much!) and then got an early night.
