My First Solo Step

The plane was three quarters empty but my hopes of leg room and horizontal sleeping space were crushed when my ticket guided me blindly into sharing a row of three with a small aging moustached business man. The seat between us was rapidly monoploised by him, his laptop, paperwork, shoes and funny little hands and soon i was sprawling out onto the aisle, maneuvering my elbows around his empty dinner tray. I didn't think we'd have much in common. Then, purse-lipped and insincere, the air crew distributed the pretzels in dainty synchronisation and I nearly fell out of my seat laughing when i thought of my pretzel hurtling at 400m/h thousands of feet above the Atlantic ocean. I don't think he had the same excitement.
Anyway, I soon landed into safe hands and am loving Westport and am planning my train tracks over to LA. I am keeping busy geocaching (finding boxes of stuff hidden under rocks using satellites), stumbling into cafes where dread-locked performers are playing guitars, and making stop-amination movies. The Ellis' are great hosts and i am being spoiled with comfortable bedding, lovely food and power showers. I know am about to get the shock of my life. See You Later
