We worked full bore on the house and a heap of visitors made it almost impossible to even think too much about what was going on in Sydney. While our little boat bobbed around on the end of it's rope in Sydney, we sloshed around in the wettest winter South Australia has seen in years trying to get our house to a livable stage. We had taken out a 6 month lease with the agent and decided that this was going to be our moving date. September 13th - we were going to be out! We would be living in another half finished house - but hell - we have done it 4 times before ... we could do it again!!

Krissy and the 3 kids arrived at the house we were renting for a long awaited visit and Tahlia's first trip to our home, Geoff came for a working holiday (landscape gardening) and we definitely got our money's worth out of him in the week he was with us, Graeme Pullen and his mate John from Alex- all staying with us for a full two weeks, all while I was trying to pack and the house was still being built - we were not the best hosts for visitors, but we did enjoy everyones company heaps. We waved Graeme and Johno goodbye after a 3 day stay and I started packing in earnest for our big move. Two days later..... a phone call, a "What you doin' tomorrow Mum" call. Jay Loz and our beautiful Zack arrived in Coffin Bay for a 5 day stopover. This time I had to unpack what I had packed up to accommodate them and find both a car seat and some toys for my little grandson. We had a lovely week with them with us, but it was back to work when we dropped them at the airport on the following Friday and I set about stuffing boxes full again, and Daryl slaved away doing the longest days ever to get us in our new home. With only a couple of weeks to go... we still had heaps to do.
