We woke up around 7 today so we could catch a train to pick up our car in the city. Once we picked up our little nissan, it was time to head to Bundaberg! On our way, we stopped at the Eumundi Market, another famous market found here in Queensland. This is the 2nd biggest market we have visited (following the Queen Elizabeth market in Melbourne). Everything found at this market was homemade and gorgeous; even some asian, dutch, and german foods were sold there. Each of us finally purchased an Australian hat (I got a fedora) so that we could finally fit in amongst the locals! I also bought an awesome hand-painted clock that is cut in the shape of Australia. I got to talk to the painter and I'm kind of regretting not buying another one!

After Eumundi, we had two more stops to visit that we recommended to us by Fleur. The first was a coffee place called Sexie Coffee. We're not sure why it's called this, but the coffee was good! It was literally in the middle of no where, so we're guessing their reputation is what keeps them in business. The next stop was an ice cream place called Mammino's. It is actually a macadamia farm that also makes its own ice cream - therefore, the best macadamia nut ice cream I've ever had!

Finally, we were on our way to Bundaberg. Once we arrived, we settle into our motel room and got ready for our turtle excursion tonight. We headed on over to Mon Repos, a Conservation Center for this turtles found on Bargara Beach. Our tour group was led onto the beach around 8:30pm, as there was a group of turtle hatchings found. We saw 8 baby turtles emerging from their eggs beneath the sand and then watched their long journey along the beach into the ocean water. It was such a cool experience! The rangers there even picked some of the hatchlings up so we could take photos and touch them. Unfortunately, those photos are on my real camera so I'll have to upload them later.

We headed back to the motel and now are getting ready for bed. We have to be up at 5 tomorrow morning for our Great Barrier Reef trip!
