So we stayed in bed and booked some Great Barrier Reef stuff for when we're in Brisbane. We didn't actually leave our room until about 3:30pm when our stomachs were getting angry with us. Our ears were ringing and we couldn't even understand anything each other said. It was a struggle to say the least.
We decided since we missed out on dinner last night, and breakfast and lunch today, that we'd get a big meal to satisfy ourselves - the natural response was to go to a german beer hall that was down the street. Grove and I each got a beer, and then the three of us shared 3 german meals: veal schnitzel, roasted pork belly, and "kaesespaetzle" (which is kind of like german mac and cheese)
The Hard Rock Cafe in Sydney was in Darling Harbour, about a 20 minute walk from us, so we walked on down to see if we could get any souvenirs... No luck. Everything we wanted was either over priced, not sized right, or not something we wanted to buy. We left walked down around the harbour where there was a HUGE inflatable duck sitting in the water. We're still not sure why it's there, but it was cool nonetheless. Since there was a Sydney tower that offered skyline views similar to the Eureka Skydeck in Melbourne, we went up to the top floor of the tower to see the city. They were really cool, as we were able to see certain focal points of the city that we visited, and other famous places we walked by previously. It wasn't great weather at the time so our pictures didn't turn out the best, but it was a good experience nonetheless. When we got back to our hostel, we basically just repacked our bags for our flight tomorrow, and headed to bed. We head to Brisbane tomorrow!
