We checked out of Mallacoota this morning, and when we were at the reception desk, we saw that there was a weekly market on Saturdays right down the street from our hotel. We walked on down and roamed the little stands. Between jewelry, food, clothing, and knick knacks, we all found something either for ourselves or for family/friends back home. After that little excursion it was time to head on our 5 hour trip to Jervis Bay.

We were welcomed to an area of Jervis Bay called Huskisson by another set of airbnb hosts, Kath and Allan. They live in a cute little villa where we had two bedrooms to ourselves. Also, they had an awesome dog named Esther and were watching a dog name Gus.. Both were labs and were beautiful. After hearing some terrible news from home, playing with the dogs definitely helped me calm down as I was definitely missing home, family, and of course my puppy Callie. After I settled down a bit, Kath and Allan took us to the Naval Base, as Allan is in the Navy. We took the dogs down to the beach and played in the sand and crystal blue water, and Allan then took us on a tour of the base. It was a very cool experience since we would definitely not be able to tour that without his clearance. After the tour, they took us out for some traditional fish and chips and then we chilled the rest of the night. We needed to be up and out of Jervis Bay by 7 in order to turn our car in at the airport and get to our Sydney hostel. Though the activities today were fun, it was definitely overshadowed by my heartbreak. I will stay strong throughout the trip, and enjoy it as best I can.
