We had lots of fun catching up with family.

My grandfather was the oldest of 10 kids. My great grandparents were immigrants from Finland. They raised their family in the small town of Kemmemer Wyoming. A small mining town in southwestern Wyoming.  (Of side note JC Penney was founded in Kemmemer)   They were coal miners in the Diamondville Mine. For the last 46 years, the family has met every two years to reconnect.   As the family has grown, we have moved to hotels and resorts to accomidate the needs of the family members.

It is a great time to connect and share stories with all of the generations.   There were three generations present, from 80 years old to 1 year old.

One The highlights was watching my Great uncle Ron who is 80 and my aunt Ellen's (his niece 68 ). go down the water slide tandem. I can only hope that I have that much life in me when I'm 80.
