our boat trip from Halong Bay!! We arrived back from our cruise at about 5pm after a 4 hour bus journey and although we all stunk of damp and were knackered we all wanted to make the most of our very last night in Vietnam as well as our very last night together!!. Thats right we were all going our seperate ways the following day, Di was going to Laos, Kierra was going to Phuket and me and Ryan were heading for a little island called Railay. We've all spent the past 10 days togther so i feel quite sad!! But hey, thats the way it goes and we'll defo keep in touch.
Anyway, Hanoi is a large city just like HCMC therefore busy busy busy with cars, mopeds and anyone and everyone trying to make a few bob
. The place is nice but now i've had a taste for the beaches i've realised city life isn't for me!! I wanted to enjoy the night though cos we'd also arranged to meet up with the Canadian couple and the couple from London so although i could quite easily have gone to bed we all got a quick shower (we checked in the same hotel as we were in the last time to make life easier) we all went for an Indian. The food was lovely and so was the company but the alcohol was not. I just soo could not get in the mood to drink despite my efforts, especially after a big meal you know what its like?! I powered on through though and we decided to have a walk through the night market to work off our chicken vindaloo's, which turned out to be a bad idea. The place was heaving with teenagers as it was Saturday night and with the lamps from the stalls blaring down on us its was red hot. After much pushing and shoving and some random woman appearing and trying to get into Di's bag (Di practically caught her with her hand in it she'd undone the clasp and everything) we decided enough was enough and called in the nearest bar. With the music on it was a good atmosphere and Ryan seemed well up for a night on the tiles (despite us been up at 5am for our taxi to the airport! tut tut), but with tired eyes, a banging head and possible liver damage (2 full nights on the vodka is pretty hard going when your up at the crack of dawn in the red hot sun!) me and Keirra went back to the hotel. Surprisingly Ryan only got in an hour after me and we were both out like a light as soon as our heads hit the pillow. This partying lark is really hard going, i need a rest!! (Very doubtful though seen as though next stop is the Thai islands).
Bye Bye Vietnam, we've loved every single minute. Wonder what the rest of the world has in store for us now????
Well, here we have it!! Our very last night in Vietnam and we were spending it in the capitol Hanoi. We'd already had a night in Hanoi after our coach trip from Hue but didn't really do much other than recover from the coach trip prior to our cruise to Halong Bay. Well this night was pretty much spent the same way apart from the other way round, we were now recovering
