5th October 2009 - KL

Lynne.....

Arrived safely in KL, got the bus from the airport (only 2 pound for a 60km journey) this took us more or less to our hostel door....which was fantastic as it was 10pm at night and very dark.  The hostel is very basic and after HK has brought us back to reality and the real traveling starts here.
We got up this morning and had a walk about, took in the KL tower and the Twin Towers.  We are planning to go back to the Twin Towers tomorrow and visit the Sky Bridge.
Sorry no photo's today the PC in the Internet cafe has issues with my card reader.....bloody IT.

We are staying in China town and are just about to go and have a meal in the Market. By the way thank you for all our messages and emails, we are enjoying them and glad you are enjoying our Blog, as we are on time limits we can't always reply...but we do love you all :0)

6th October 2009 - KL

Lynne.....

As you can see we managed to get the photo's on - had a good meal and then bought some fruit in the market for pudding.  We had seen these unusual looking fruit growing in the park and so bought some.  They looked and tasted a bit like lychee's.
Went back to the Twin Towers today to try and do the Sky Bridge walk and take some night photos of the towers.  Sadly got up too late to get a ticket for the Bridge so spent to day wandering around the mall and sleeping in the park.  It was worth the wait though the towers are breath taking all lite up at night.

Tomorrow we are going to a market in Little India - Gary will hopefully not be wearing his new Man U shirt (which his brother kindly bought him) as it does attract a lot of attention with stall holders shouting out 'hey Mr MU' and 'You want another shirt....only RM20' (4 pounds) Gary was gutted that everyone thought his was a fake.

We have booked a bus ticket to Mersing down on the east coast.  We are heading for an island called Pulau Tioman for some chill out time.....there is only so much of cities you can do.  We don't leave until Thursday and it's a 6 hour bus journey followed by a ferry over to the island.....however I am not sure of the internet connections on the island so don't worry if you don't hear from us for a week or so.

8th October 2009

Gary.....

Have arrived at Mersing only to have missed the tide for the ferry so will need to stay the night here.  They are a bit short of rooms here as a few buses have also turned up after the last ferry which was one o'clock, so managed to get Lynne in to a 6 bed dorm room........she ain't happy!!

Trip down from KL was good, lots of country-side and small villages. I saw 5 monkeys, but Lynne didn't believe me until she saw one too.  The first two were sitting on a road sign next to each other eating something.  How cool!

Monsoon isn't due for another month so looking forward to some sun, sea and snorkeling. The ferries look ok more like dive boats than ferry's.....so relax Vi :0).

Not sure when you will next hear from us as we said before there may be little or no internet connection on this Island.........so please don't panic (mummies) if you don't hear from us for a while.
