Well, we have taken way too long to update this travelpod and by now you already know what's going on.  These pictures were taken in the past 2 months and are mostly of the town of Arcidosso and our apartment, but there are a few from the near by towns.  For the first week in Arcidosso we stayed at a villa about 100 yards from the brewery, but 4km from Arcidosso and the grocery stores.  It is a beautiful villa with lots of fruit trees and animals.  For two weeks in the month of October we had a Castagna (Chestnut) festival in Arcidosso the wine cantinas that are normally closed during the year open up for everyone to eat and drink wine, it is the biggest party of they year.  All the teenagers come out on Friday night and get completely drunk and puke in the streets.  On Saturday and Sunday the rest of the town does the same thing until about three in the morning.  There were bands playing in the streets, people on stilts, lots of chestnuts being roasted, and sausage being grilled.  Walking Desi during this festival turned out to be quite a challenge, we had no idea she was such a gluten for chestnuts, we have decided to take her in to counseling for her addiction.  Normally we would not see eating a few chestnuts as such a problem but...lets just say she likes them but her stomach doesn't; and this became incredibly obvious in the middle of the night, twice.  The festival was lots of fun and we wish it were like that more often, when all was cleaned up and put away you could hear a pin drop outside again, a little too quiet for us.  Other than that Arcidosso is just like Mayberry and Andy is still the sheriff.
