        Moving today to a new location - Houston, for a month.  I think I've explained that I have to stay put for a bit in order to get my visas and also attend to yearly things like physicals, etc.  While I would prefer to do it elsewhere, looks like Houston is the best bet because there are plenty of consulates there, especially the two that I need, China and Russia.

        I've been busy working out schedules and itineraries.  Drek!  It gets rather complicated at times.  My husband usually works a 28/28 rotation.  That is 28 days working and 28 days not working.  Of course his travel time back and forth to North America (or wherever I am) is on the 28 days he is not working so I usually only get him for 24 or 25 days during his time off work.  Because of changes in his project personnel, he had to do a 3/3 for two rotations.  That was a 3 week on, 3 week off.  Really messed up my plans.  Ok, I have to be the flexible one so that's why i am ending up in Houston for a month. 

        Still not a big problem but he gives me a rotation schedule, very nice color coded, with his time working and his time off work.  Then I have to look at it and figure out which days he's traveling and when he will arrive and depart from where I am.  I had it all on my calender when it suddenly just looked very strange and wrong.  As I already have dozens of bookings for one thing or another, I momentarily freaked thinking I may have screwed up but careful checking again, and I think I am good - at least through September.

        So busy packing up this morning and wondering again why I have so much stuff.  As I might possibly be traveling anywhere from 2 to 8 months and I am not normally flying, I brought about double the number of clothes, double the number of bathroom stuff, the cat stuff and all my computer stuff.  It's a lot of stuff.  I have temporarily ditched the scuba gear (don't need it until next month), warm clothes, and most of the food (don't know why I was carrying food - didn't want to toss it away in Toronto I guess).  Still thinking it is not going to fit in the car.  Since I am only going 4 hours down to road to Houston, I'd like to do it without the car bag on top of the roof but it's looking iffy.
