Where I stayed
Our Candlewood Suites hotel is on the top of a hill on the outskirts of San Antonio. To anyone who knows this part of the country, most of it is hilly and ravines and curves and valleys. It's called the Texas Hill Country with good reason. Many, many hills.
Every night to date, the air conditioner helps us keep out the noise of the wind whistling around the corners of the building. Last night, a front came through and the wind has been fierce all night. I felt like I spent the night inside a wind tunnel without the actual feel of the wind. All night long - wooooooooooo. Doesn't make the cats feel good as they don't like the wind that much. The only good thing is there aren't any trees knocking on the window. Looking outside though, you can see the trees next door bend and blow. It is really gusty. We were planning an outside day. Going to be fun to wander around in this wind. The good thing is we won't be too hot today.
