Sad and fond farewells

Dinner last night was our last night here at Bederra Beach and in Fiji. After we finished eating, the "band" came over to serenade us. Everything night, three men sit on the floor in the lobby and sing wonderful Fijian music and harmonize beautifully. For our last night, they came and sang us a farewell song. Staying here at Bederra has been great. The staff are all fantstic and it has been nice and quiet and lovely. I'm sure they serenade everyone on their last night but it was quite touching and hauntingly sad and melodic. One of the wait staff joined in as well with a nice tenor voice making it a lovely quartet. Have to say that our stay on Fiji was just marvelous and well worth the effort it takes to get to such a remote place.
