Early start this morning to head for the more remote South-East corner of the Park and Two Medicine Lake. Part of a the Blackfeet Indian Reservation, there are plenty of tales of famous warriors and battles.

We arrived early to the "first come, first served" campground, with the children still in their pyjamas and had breakfast once we arrived. Two Medicine is a lovely little campground, on the lake, in the shadow of some majestic peaks. Probably the best National Park campground so far, and whilst full up by 11am, doesn't feel crowded.

After a relaxed morning, we headed to the Ranger Station for the children to complete their final Junior Ranger badge, they now have five each and are really proud of them all. What a great scheme, they have really enjoyed it and learnt masses!

From there we drove to the Running Eagle Falls trailhead, named after a famous Native American warrior woman in the 1700s. A short walk and a great waterfall for a picnic. Then back to Two Medicine Lake for a boat trip across, where we dropped Matt off to run the 5k home.

Back on the boat for us and then a swim en masse in Two Medicine Lake which was freezing! Far colder for some reason than yesterday, even with wetsuits we didn't last long! Hot shower, football and a fire with some of Wyoming's finest Buffalo steaks cooked on top soon warmed everyone up though!
